Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our dynamic team. As a Cashier youll be the first point of contact for our customers and will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service. Your primary responsibility will entail accurately processing transactions including cash credit and debit payments while ensuring a speedy and efficient checkout addition to handling payments you will assist customers with inquiries provide information about our products and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process cash credit and debit transactions at the point of sale.
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner as they enter the store.
- Provide information regarding products promotions and store policies to customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area at all times.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer and balance at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail or cashier role is an asset.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
