Join us as a Senior Manager Governance & Frameworks within the BT Business Control & Monitoring (BCM) function where youll play a pivotal role in strengthening governance uplifting risk capability and supporting key Westpac Group frameworks across BT.

Whats the role

This permanent fulltime role based in Sydney or Adelaide is responsible for supporting the delivery of core Westpac Group frameworks including the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) Risk Management Declaration (RMD) and Material Risk Register (MRR).

Youll help maintain BTs Emerging Risk landscape produce highquality insights for Boards and Risk Committees and ensure divisional practices align to Group policies regulatory obligations and strategic risk direction.

Youll partner with first- and second-line risk teams provide guidance on incident and controls management and coach the business to enhance risk capability and strengthen risk culture.

This role involves strategic thinking strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to deliver highquality governance reporting that informs senior leadership.

What do I need

  • Extensive experience in financial services risk management with strong understanding of governance enterprise frameworks and Wealth Management obligations.
  • Proficiency in JUNO SIP Power BI and relevant Westpac reporting tools with experience in quality assurance control testing and investigative analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to produce clear reporting and insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen attention to detail organisation and ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships influence and negotiate and collaborate across first- and second-line risk teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uplifting risk culture with strategic thinking capability and a proactive customerfocused mindset.
