Job Summary
Job Title: Landscape Installation Irrigation Crew Leader
Position Overview The Landscape Installation Irrigation Crew Leader is a hands-on supervisory position responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of commercial irrigation installation projects. This role involves supervising crews managing subcontractors reading blueprints and performing full system installationsincluding piping wiring and controller programming. The Crew Leader ensures all work is performed according to plan specifications and Bland Landscaping Company criteria while prioritizing safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Irrigation Installation & Field Execution
Project Execution: Execute the contracted scope of irrigation projects including the installation of mainlines laterals valves heads and drip systems.
Technical Work: Perform low-voltage wiring controller installation and system programming; adjust irrigation controllers and demonstrate expert knowledge of irrigation components.
Manual Operations: Perform hands-on tasks including trenching glueing pipe backfilling digging raking and site clean-up.
General Construction: Assist with the installation of plantings lawns and hardscapes as needed to complete the project scope.
Logistics: Load and unload heavy equipment pipe and materials from trucks; handle bagged and bulk materials safely.
Leadership & Supervision
Crew Management: Supervise and train installation crews on all aspects of irrigation and landscape services enforcing standards regarding positive attitude work ethic punctuality and uniform policies.
Scheduling: Schedule and monitor daily work assignments for Bland Landscaping employees and subcontractors.
Safety: Conduct crew and department general and safety meetings; enforce the Company Safety Policy at all times.
Relations: Maintain professional on-site relations and communications with clients general contractors and subcontractors.
Administration & Operations
Planning: Plan coordinate and collect necessary equipment and materials for each days tasks.
Reporting: Submit daily BOSS Mobile Timesheets and required administrative paperwork.
Communication: Communicate daily with the Production Manager regarding progress and planning; utilize technology effectively for communication.
Standards: Maintain truck and trailer cleanliness and standardization; manage job quality and labor hours effectively.
Seasonal Support: Assist in other divisions as needed and participate in snow removal during the winter months.
Compensation & Notes
Salary Range: $45000 - $54000 per year.

Locations: Opportunities available with Branches and Satellites across the Southeast in North Carolina South Carolina and Florida.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis (trenching/piping).
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Ability to work around bees poison ivy pollen thorns and other environmental risks.
Skills & Certifications
Drivers License: Must have a valid NC Drivers license and maintain a good driving record.
Professionalism: Must wear work boots Bland Landscaping uniforms and present a clean professional manner.
Autonomy: Must be able to work with minimal supervision and motivate others.
Safety: Must practice safety at all times and wear company-provided PPE.
Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to motivate others.
Background: Must pass a criminal background check.
Licensing: Must be willing to obtain the NC Pesticide applicators license.
