TriVector Services Inc. is seeking qualified candidates to fill our HLS Mission Integration Engineer position.
The candidate will support the Human Landing System (HLS) Program with Mission Integration Tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work directly with Provider Mission Manager during mission execution and planning for mission specific technical exchanges
- Participates in all pre-flight training
- Primary HLS interface and attendee to Orion and/or Gateway Mission Evaluations for various mission management teams.
- Schedules the HLS Mission Management Team (MMT) and coordinates presentation of briefing materials from technical authorities for go/no-go recommendation for the HLS Program Manager.
- Facilitate and coordinate HLS technical meetings NASA-Provider joint analysis efforts lead NASA HLS tiger team actions during HLS missions.
- Tracks and follows up on HLS MMT actions. Prime for HLS MMT actions risks waivers or deviations and lessons learned tracking.
- Chairs all near-real-time Mission Insight Support Team (MIST) meetings that are not officially HLS MMTs.
- Act as the main POC for major mission events/replans/anomalies during Artemis missions when MIST is on call.
- Presents mission or summary status to the HLS Mission Management Team
- Attends pertinent mission specific HLS Control Boards prior to flight
- Serves as secondary Program-level interface with Commercial Providers Other NASA programs (Gateway EHP Orion etc.) and other HLS Program office for Operations activities Primarily handled by HLS Program Manager
- Works with the MIST Working Group to define MIST products and processes.
- Recurring travel and travel to support mission activities is required.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have at least 20 years of experience with Spaceflight Mission Operations (Preferably with manned spaceflight)
- A minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or physics is required.
- Candidate should have expertise with the following:
- Spacecraft operations product development and execution
- Real-time support for on-orbit operations
- Mission planning timeline development and analysis
- Spacecraft telemetry trending and analysis
- Briefing Senior Management and providing big picture awareness
- Candidate must have a working knowledge of Human Spacecraft subsystems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic work environment is required.
