The Amazon LATAM Carpool BI team is looking for a talented smart and experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to help us build exceptional tools to generate insights and drive business decisions in the LATAM Retail space.
Joining our team means partnering with a dynamic and creative group who set a high bar for innovation and success in a fast-paced and changing environment. We are hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer to own a business Chapter which is an exciting opportunity to be involved from design-to-execution. As a Business Intelligence Engineer you will be working in one of the worlds largest and most complex data warehouse this role you will primarily work on designing and building automated reporting and dashboards using complex data. As a BI Engineer you will operate as a mix of hands-on builder and influencer.
The teams success depends on our ability to create actionable insight from the data that we and our partners generate. The ideal BIE candidate will have excellent analytical abilities business acumen high judgment strong technical skills and good written and verbal communication skills. This person will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity able to think big and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail) and enjoys working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. To be successful in this role you should have broad skills in data be comfortable dealing with large and complex data sets while applying analytical rigor to solve business problems.

- 7 years of business intelligence and analytics experience
- 5 years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team including employee development and performance management experience
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with ETL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools
- Experience with R Python Weka SAS Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
- 4 years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience
- 10 years of data warehouse technical architectures data modeling infrastructure components ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience
