JOB SUMMARY
As part of our recent growth we are seeking an experiencedMaterials Specialistto join our team. The ideal candidate will receive verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing materials in the CMP Cage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compare identifying information and count weigh or measure incoming materials to verify information against bills of lading invoices orders and other records.
Receive customer orders and input into MRP system.
Unpack and examine incoming shipments reject damaged items record shortages and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
Route received material to appropriate departments.
Operate forklift lift or uses hand truck to move convey or hoist shipments.
Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skill in advanced computer functions in a Windows environment including Microsoft Office Word Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work in an Aerospace manufacturing environment.
Skill in prioritizing and managing a fast paced work environment.
Skill in organizing identifying estimating and recognizing differences or similarities with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers micrometers and other inspection gauges.
Skill in performing mid-level math skills efficiently and accurately (including addition subtraction multiplication and division using whole numbers fraction and decimals).
Ability to take direction from lead and supervisor to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to communicate information clearly and directly co-workers and supervisory personnel both verbally and in writing.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read write and communicate in English through verbal communication American Sign Language or adaptive technology

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. Skills Inc. is a self-supporting Social Enterprise and is organized as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit. We have three lines of business; Aerospace Manufacturing Aerospace Finishing and Business Solutions that operate in 3 locations. Skills Inc. employs over 250 people and our social mission is to train employ and serve persons with disabilities. We accomplish our mission three ways; direct hire vocational programs and services and as a resource to the community.
Salary Range: $20.00-$28.00
