Job Summary

Role Overview

Wells Fargo is seeking a GenAI Software Engineer to enable and scale Generative AI capabilities across the enterprise development community. This role focuses on evaluating productionizing and integrating modern GenAI tools and agent-based solutions while supporting internal engineering platforms and applications.

Key Responsibilities

Enable enterprise-wide GenAI capabilities for internal development teams

Evaluate select and productionize GenAI development tools and platforms

Design build and integrate AI agents and MCP server-based solutions

Develop and support internal tools and applications used across engineering teams

Implement modern engineering best practices including CI/CD automated testing and release strategies

Collaborate with cross-functional technology and business partners to deliver scalable solutions

Contribute to moderately complex engineering initiatives and large-scale planning efforts

Analyze and resolve technical challenges while adhering to enterprise policies and compliance standards

Required Qualifications

4 years of professional Software Engineering experience

Strong proficiency in Java (required)

Hands-on experience with modern GenAI development tools such as:

- GitHub Copilot / Coding Agents

- Claude

- Gemini Code Assist

- Devin

Experience contributing to moderately complex engineering initiatives

Solid understanding of software development lifecycle architecture and enterprise engineering standards

Preferred / Plus Skills

1 year of experience with AI Agents and/or MCP Server development

Python development experience

TypeScript experience

Prior experience integrating AI tools into enterprise development workflows

Experience working in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
