Job Summary:
The Respiratory Neuro Diagnostics Specialist provides respiratory care to patients working within med/surg and ICU step-down units possibly in the ED serving adolescents to geriatrics. The role involves airway management medication administration vent management and other respiratory therapies. On-call and weekend shifts are required based on unit needs.

- Performing ABGs
- O2 Therapy
- Suction
- Pulmonary toileting
- Nebulizer treatments
- BiPAP and CPAP administration
- Vest Therapy
- Meta-neb treatments
- PAP therapy
- Heated High-flow therapy
- Working with Servo I Servo U Hamilton T1 Servo Air Night-time VPAP Omni-labs and V30s equipment
- Using ABL90 ABG machine
- Documentation in EPIC
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- ER Adult ICU Med/Surg and ICU/Stepdown experience
- Airway management Medication Administration Vent Management ABGs O2 Therapy Suction Pulmonary Toileting Nebulizer BiPAP CPAP Vest Therapy Meta-neb PAP therapy Heated High-flow experience
- EPIC experience
- BLS ACLS PALS certifications
- NC License
- RRT Credentials
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bronchoscope skills
- NRP certification
Special Considerations:
- RTO after booking is not allowed.
- Call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR.
- On-call required as needed/workload dependent.
- No floating to other facilities just within the facility.
- 4 weekend shifts within a 6-week timeframe.
Scheduling:
- 36 or 48 hours per week can be offered.
- 12-hour night shifts.
- Per Unit Needs.
- 7a - 7p orientation then 7p-7a for night shift; 7p-7a RTs will need a few days of 7a-7p for orientation.
