Job Summary

Title: Application Developer for AppMod team

Location: Remote (US or Canada)

Duration: 8 Weeks

Skills Needed:

C Development and Cross-Platform (Windows->Linux) Conversion
WineHQ is a C developer with the working knowledge of both Linux and Windows C programming plus a desirable skillset is the WineHQ itself.
Also App dev team members shld be familiar with interacting with DB2

Linux Compatibility Validation Activities:

Analyze Account Balance Manager C DLL for Windows API dependencies.
Evaluate native Linux compilation feasibility using GCC or Clang compilers vs. Visual Studio 2017 compilation toolchain requirements.
Assess Wine HQ compatibility layer for running the entire P3 application - Java and C - on Wine without code changes.
Test JNI integration patterns between Java applications and C components addressing JNI call marshaling problems that intermittently cause system failures.
Document cross-platform migration strategies and provide technical recommendations based on complexity performance and maintenance considerations.
