InfraHire is hiring an experienced Journeyman Tool & Die Maker in Lake Forest IL .
Job Description:

Follow and support ISO 9001:2015 Quality Policy and Objectives.

Build and troubleshoot new tooling based on prints/design requirements.
-
Modify existing tooling to meet customer changes and updated specifications.
-
Maintain and repair dies/tooling to support ongoing production.
-
Complete tooling changeovers for multi-part die sets.
-
Support multiple departments with tooling needs and problem-solving.
-
Communicate job status priorities and issues to the Tool Room Manager.
-
Manage multiple tasks meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
-
Maintain accurate time tracking for each job and follow shop traveler instructions.
-
Report press/die issues and any actual or potential quality concerns to QA or supervision.
-
Stop production when nonconforming conditions are known or suspected.
-
Lift and handle materials/tools up to 30 50 lbs.
Requirements
-
High School Diploma plus TMA certificate (or equivalent training).
-
5 years of Tool & Die experience in a manufacturing setting.
-
Strong working knowledge of toolroom equipment and safe operation practices.
-
Ability to follow ISO procedures and documented instructions.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish a plus).
-
Willingness to work overtime when required.
-
Team-oriented dependable and punctual.
