Role: Senior Java Backend Developer

Location: Atlanta GA (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Backend Microservices Java Developer with strong hands-on experience building and scaling cloud-native microservices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java Spring and Azure along with experience working on Quick Response Service (QRS) or Loyalty platforms in high-transaction environments.
This role requires a backend-focused engineer who is comfortable designing APIs handling large data volumes and ensuring performance reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain backend microservices using Java and Spring (Spring Boot)
Build and deploy cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure
Develop RESTful APIs to support high-throughput low-latency systems
Work with MongoDB for NoSQL data storage and retrieval
Integrate with relational databases such as SQL Server (optional)
Contribute to the design and evolution of QRS (Quick Response Service) or Loyalty systems
Ensure scalability fault tolerance and performance of microservices
Participate in code reviews and enforce backend development best practices
Collaborate with product frontend and DevOps teams
Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend and production issues

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

6 years of backend software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java
Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot
Proven experience building Microservices architectures
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
Experience with MongoDB
Prior experience working on QRS (Quick Response Service) or Loyalty platforms
Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems

Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
Experience with message queues or event-driven systems
Exposure to containerization (Docker Kubernetes)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in high-volume transaction systems
