Job Title: Assembly Technician Manufacturing
Pay: $20 $22XX
Duration: 3 months (possible extension)
Location: Houston TX 77041
Shift:
- Mon Fri: 5:00 AM 3:30 PM
- Saturdays: 5:00 AM 11:00 AM
- Occasional Sundays
This is an entry-to-mid-level assembly role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on oil & gas control valves controllers and chemical injection pumps. Training is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble test and package mechanical products
- Read work instructions drawings schematics and BOMs
- Use hand tools power tools and testing equipment
- Perform pneumatic and hydrostatic testing
- Complete inspection and test documentation
- Repair or reassemble returned products
- Follow OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement/Lean initiatives
- Report unsafe conditions immediately
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year in manufacturing or assembly
- Ability to read/write/speak English
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Experience with safety & quality standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and teamwork mindset
Preferred Background
- Experience assembling/testing:
- Valves
- Chemical injection pumps
- Oil & gas equipment
- Automotive/appliance repair
- Ability to read assembly drawings/BOMs
- Experience working independently
- Familiar with manufacturing documentation
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting (10 40 lbs)
- Standing for long periods
- Repetitive hand movements
- Exposure to noise dust grease
- Climate-controlled but warm at times
