JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION: Syracuse NY
PAY RATE: $41.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Schedule: 5/40 1st Shift (Target schedule: Mon Thu 7:00 AM 4:30 PM Fri 7:00 AM 11:00 AM)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Design and develop manufacturing processes procedures and production layouts
Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans as needed
Inspect machinery equipment and tools to verify performance and initiate corrective actions for deficiencies
Provide guidance to engineering on design concepts and specifications to optimize manufacturing techniques and equipment utilization
Ensure manufacturing processes and procedures comply with regulatory and quality requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and continuous improvement initiatives
Apply Lean Manufacturing and process improvement principles (Green Belt experience preferred)

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Mechanical Industrial Engineering or a related field
Minimum 1 year of industrial experience (early career candidates encouraged to apply)
Self-starter with strong initiative and teamwork skills
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

2 3 years of manufacturing experience
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma (Green Belt a plus)
