About the Role
Ebert Investment Group (EIG) is seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to lead end-to-end corporate accounting across its diversified portfolio of businesses and investments.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer this senior role is responsible for financial reporting statutory compliance governance and accounting operations across multiple entities. Working closely with a small team of Corporate Analysts you will act as a trusted financial partner to senior leadership delivering accurate timely and commercially insightful information to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
This is a high-impact role suited to someone with strong multi-entity experience who thrives in complex fast-growing environments and enjoys improving systems controls and processes as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting across all EIG entities
- Prepare consolidated management accounts financial analysis and commentary for senior leadership
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations intercompany accounting and consolidated reporting
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory obligations are met including tax ASIC and audit requirements
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies internal controls and governance frameworks
- Manage external auditors tax advisors and regulatory stakeholders
- Oversee cash flow reporting forecasting budgeting and variance analysis
- Partner with operational leaders to provide commercially focused financial insights
- Drive improvements in accounting systems automation and reporting processes
- Provide technical guidance and support to the broader finance team as the function grows.
About You
You are a commercially minded accounting professional with strong technical capability and experience operating across complex multi-entity environments.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CA qualification (essential)
- Proven experience in a senior corporate or group accounting role
- Strong knowledge of IFRS statutory reporting and governance frameworks
- Exposure to investment fund management or asset-based businesses (highly regarded)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights
- A proactive solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
