Position Summary: The RN Clinic Hand Surgery-Therapy provides comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving hand surgery and therapy services within the outpatient clinic setting. This role performs patient assessments coordinates care supports individualized treatment plans and evaluates clinical outcomes to promote optimal recovery and functional outcomes. Working collaboratively with hand surgeons therapy staff and interdisciplinary clinic team members the RN helps ensure care is delivered safely efficiently and in alignment with clinical standards and organizational policies. The position functions within a supportive specialty-focused environment where teamwork communication and coordinated workflows are essential. Through attentive patient education continuity of care and clinical collaboration the RN Clinic Hand Surgery-Therapy contributes to positive patient experiences and high-quality surgical and rehabilitative care. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to hand surgery and therapy patients including assessments treatment support and care coordination. Assist with clinic procedures patient education and follow-up care related to surgical and therapeutic treatment plans. Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to providers and the interdisciplinary care team. Maintain accurate timely documentation in the electronic medical record and support coding and clinic workflows as assigned. Perform point-of-care testing specimen collection and lab packaging in accordance with clinic requirements. Collaborate with providers therapists and clinic staff to support efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
Licenses and Certifications Required Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure. CPR required within orientation period. Ongoing Point of Care certifications as required for department required within orientation period. Educational Requirements RN program as evidenced by licensure. BSN preferred. Experience Requirements One year or more of professional nursing experience preferred. Clinic experience preferred. Coding experience preferred. Special Skills or Training Requirements May include travel to satellites. Computer use. Trinity community clinics - draw and package lab tests. Minot Clinics - participate in Convenient Care weekend schedule. Physical Requirements: This role requires frequent standing walking bending reaching and movement throughout the clinic during patient care activities. The RN must be able to assist with patient positioning move equipment and supplies and perform repetitive clinical tasks. Adequate vision hearing manual dexterity and communication skills are required to safely provide care operate clinical equipment and document accurately. Environmental Requirements: The RN Clinic Hand Surgery-Therapy works in outpatient clinic and satellite locations with regular interaction with patients families and clinical staff. The role may involve exposure to infectious diseases medical equipment cleaning agents and moderate noise levels. Travel between clinic sites and participation in extended or weekend clinic coverage may be required.
