DescriptionManufacturing Test Engineer (Engineer II)
Fluke Electronics Singapore
Role Overview
The Manufacturing Test Engineer is a key individual contributor responsible for ensuring robust efficient and scalable test and calibration processes for new and existing Fluke products. This role operates with moderate to high autonomy regularly interfaces with contract manufacturers and global design teams and plays a critical role in driving quality improvements through structured problem solving and effective technical communication.
The successful candidate combines hands-on troubleshooting capability a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the ability to clearly define and escalate complex technical issues to crossfunctional partners including design engineering teams in the United States. This role directly influences operational performance across Safety Quality Delivery Productivity and Continuous Improvement.
The position is based in Singapore with minimal travel but up to 25% in times.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and support manufacturing test and calibration systems across the factory ensuring stability repeatability and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical oversight and engineering support to Flukes contract manufacturing partners aligned with Flukes quality and operational standards.
- Develop document and implement manufacturing test processes and procedures that enable safe efficient and cost-effective production.
- Troubleshoot PCA- and system-level test failures using structured data-driven root cause methodologies driving permanent corrective and preventive actions rather than interim containment.
- Analyze test results yield data and production metrics to identify trends and lead quality and productivity improvements.
- Clearly define manufacturing and test-related issues and communicate them effectively to US-based design and sustaining engineering teams including problem statements supporting data and technical hypotheses.
- Execute manufacturing engineering assignments that support product integrity manufacturability and testability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Plan and execute engineering projects of moderate to high complexity balancing speed risk and operational impact.
- Maintain ownership of manufacturing documentation including test procedures work instructions and engineering changes.
- Actively contribute to shop-floor excellence supporting 5S safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
