Department of Political Science Limited Term Appointment

The Department of Political Science at St. Francis Xavier University invites applications for a 9-month term appointment in Comparative Politics and/or International Relations at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin on August 17 2026 and conclude on May 14 2027. **This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

The successful candidate is expected to teach six 3-credit courses over the academic year (3 per term) including a section of the introductory courses and a range of 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate courses in comparative politics and/or international relations.

Applicants should have a completed PhD in Political Science by the time of appointment demonstrated teaching effectiveness and evidence of an ongoing research agenda.
