Our Capital Markets team is renowned for handling high-profile high-yield investment grade and SEC-registered debt capital markets transactions as well as IPOs secondary offerings private placements and other equity-linked transactions combining technical expertise with a collaborative client-focused approach.

We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate to join our dynamic team with a primary focus on transactions in India and Southeast Asia. Based in our Singapore or Hong Kong office you will play a key role in advising international clients on debt and equity capital raisings regulatory compliance and market-shaping deals. Key Responsibilities:

Technical

  • Assist in the drafting review and negotiation of transaction documents and offer documents including prospectuses offering memoranda underwriting agreements and regulatory filings.
  • Help conduct due diligence manage deal execution and provide strategic advice on transactions.
  • Advise clients on regulatory frameworks and cross-border listing while coordinating with local counsel as needed.

Client Relationship Management

  • Helping to advise clients under appropriate supervision.
  • Providing commercial and legal advice to clients.
  • Demonstrating market knowledge to identify current trends and concerns in relevant industry sectors.

Business Development

  • Participating in recruitment initiatives client marketing and developing networks with other professionals participating at conferences or professional organizations.
  • Contributing to quality know-how and transaction bibles and their upkeep.
  • Collaborating with cross-practice teams on integrated deals and contribute to business development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified lawyer with minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) gained at a top-tier international firm.
  • Strong background in capital markets and US securities laws.
  • US qualified (preferred) or common law qualified
  • Proven ability to assist on complex multi-jurisdictional projects under tight deadlines.

  • Effective communicator capable of building rapport with clients colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Proactive adaptable and committed to continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.
