AIG Trade Credit develops insurance solutions that address the exposures of companies globally and embody AIGs tradition of innovation underwriting excellence and bringing to market groundbreaking insurance solutions to corporates.

Your contribution at AIG

As an Underwriter you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders making sound decisions using data analysis experience and judgment along with a risk mindset. Ultimately you take ownership for key outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Assist in Trade Credit (TC) and Trade Finance (TF) operations supporting portfolio management and underwriting strategies.
Contribute to implementing strategic plans and identifying growth opportunities in collaboration with brokers and distribution teams.
Provide administrative and technical support to underwriting teams credit officers and stakeholders.
Participate in marketing credit insurance and building Trade Credit accounts in focus markets.
Monitor market trends and support the refinement of local business plans to achieve performance targets.
Develop skills and knowledge in underwriting practices risk assessment and market strategies with guidance from senior team members.

What we are looking for

Bachelors Degree in economics engineering mathematics actuarial sciences accounting or a related field.
Some experience in underwriting with an understanding of financial analysis and risk assessment.
Eagerness to develop commercial and sales skills including broker relationship management and client interaction.
Strong analytical mindset problem-solving skills and willingness to learn complex trade credit processes.
Effective communication organization and teamwork skills with a proactive and adaptable attitude.
Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
