The opportunity

We have an opportunity for an Underwriter to join our Dunedin-based commercial underwriting team on a fixed term contract until the end of March 2027. Youll partner with a wide range of brokering partners across all commercial insurance lines.

Your new role

Youll manage accounts across a broad range of brokering partners. Youll be responsible for overseeing the corporate portfolio including:

  • Contribute to strategy planning and execution of policies and product plans to maintain portfolio balance.
  • Underwrite standard and complex risk business in line with business plans and delegated authority.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Support growth through quotes renewals policy maintenance problem-solving and collaboration with intermediaries.
  • Occasional travel to meet key broker partners.

Youre an insurance professional with excellent stakeholder relationship addition youll have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
