Job Summary

Overview

Were seeking an experienced and skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. The Shop Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance repair and troubleshooting of various types of heavy equipment including rock drills excavators skid steers lifts concrete pumps some proprietary equipment and other types of heavy constrcution equipment.

This position is based in Williamstown KY. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday with overtime/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy duty machines or mechanical components according to requirements and OEM sops
  • Inspect machines engines transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
  • Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability and safe operations
  • Correctly and efficiently troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Perform thorough maintenance on machinery equipment and systems including pneumatics hydraulics electronics gearboxes and communication software
  • Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
  • Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
  • Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems welding etc.)
  • Keep logs of work and report on issues

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Valid Drivers license required
  • Experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of heavy construction equipment and repair experience
  • Experience working on railway equipment
  • 5 years of hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting experience
  • CDL Drivers license strongly preferred
  • Licensing/certification as a mechanic

Location: Williamstown KY

Compensation: $25/hr to $35/hr. with eligibility for overtime
