Job Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Long Term Care to provide comprehensive resident-centered nursing care across a diverse patient population. This role requires strong clinical judgment leadership skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a long-term care setting.
Compensation & Incentives
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $25000 for qualified candidates
Relocation Assistance: Up to $10000
Annual Geographic Differential: Up to $25000 (in addition to base pay)
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver safe therapeutic and efficient nursing care for long-term care residents
Perform independent clinical decision-making during assigned shifts and remain accountable for all nursing actions
Assess resident conditions prioritize care based on acuity and respond effectively to emergent situations
Administer medications and treatments accurately according to age-specific and condition-specific needs
Develop implement evaluate and update individualized nursing care plans
Document assessments interventions and resident responses accurately in the electronic health record
Educate residents and families regarding diagnoses procedures treatments and discharge plans
Ensure compliance with infection control standards nursing policies and regulatory requirements
Delegate and supervise care provided by CNAs LPNs and other support staff
Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned and provide leadership in the absence of on-site management
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all ethical and professional standards
Clinical & Leadership Duties
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments including admission and ongoing evaluations
Recognize normal versus abnormal findings and initiate appropriate interventions
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care
Participate in care conferences unit goal setting and quality improvement initiatives
Assist with orientation and mentorship of new staff travelers and students
Provide constructive feedback and support staff development
Participate in mandatory training competencies in-services and emergency preparedness drills
Education Certifications & Licensure
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN BSN or Diploma)
Active unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a U.S. state
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association
Clinical Competency Assessment (within 3 months of hire and every 3 years)
High-Risk Competency (within 3 months of hire and annually)
Experience Requirements
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of nursing principles assessments and care planning
Ability to recognize and respond to adverse signs symptoms and emergencies
Proficiency in medication administration and medical equipment use (e.g. AED)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead collaborate and manage conflict in high-stress situations
