.Net Developer (US Remote)

ICFs Digital Modernization Division is a rapidly growing entrepreneurial technology-driven department seeking a highly motivated and talented.NET Developerto support our Department of Defense (DoD) Child and Youth Programs (CYP) project. ICF works with government representatives and users to build and enhance CYP systems. The DoD recognizes the importance of providing military and DoD-affiliated families with access to quality affordable childcare programs. ICF has the expertise agility and commitment to design build and operate high-performance IT engines to support all aspects of our clients business.

ICF is seeking a highly motivated.NET Developerto support digital solutions for a variety of Federal clients including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The developer will support our FCC O&M and projects by collaborating and working with a cross-functional team to deliver quality innovative and highly scalable web-based applications. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with cross-disciplinary teams and technologies.

This developer will participate in building and integrating web-based applications to support our DoD Military Family Readiness project. The ICF team performs custom software development to modernize and integrate siloed legacy applications using modular design standards. The team works closely with clients and other contractors to ensure the performance and reliability of public-facing mission-critical applications.

What youll be doing:

Manage and support daily development work for one or more project teams by:

• Designing developing and maintaining RESTful APIs using.NET 8andC#.

• Implementing clean maintainable and scalable code followingClean Code Architectureprinciples.

• Creating and maintaining data access layers usingEntity FrameworkandLINQ.

• Writing unit and integration tests usingxUnitto ensure application quality.

• Developing and optimizingSQL Serverqueries stored procedures and schema changes.

• Supporting dynamic document generation and reporting features.

• Using GitHub for version control branching and pull requests.

• Collaborating with QA DevOps and Product teams during sprint planning backlog grooming and code reviews.

• Participating in root-cause analysis bug fixes and performance improvements.

• Following Agile development practices and contributing to sprint deliverables.

What you must have:

• 3 years of professional experience with.NET ( 6/7/8)andC#development.

• 2 years of experience developing and maintainingREST APIs.

• 2 years of experience withSQL Server including stored procedures and query optimization.

• Hands-on experience withEntity Framework CoreandLINQ.

• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests withxUnitor similar frameworks.

• Experience using GitHub or similar tools for version control and collaboration.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

• MUST RESIDE in the United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.) as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.

What we would like you to have:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related technical field.

• Knowledge ofClean Code Architectureand SOLID principles.

• Experience with dynamic document generation (e.g. PDF or Word automation).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong problem-solving debugging and time-management skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality code.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
