It sources accommodation and destination services from travel suppliers aggregates and merchandises that content in the WebBeds platform then distributes it to its global network of travel trade buyers who sell to the travelling public.

Hotels and other suppliers - global and regional hotel chains independent hotels apartments resorts attractions transfer and sightseeing companies and more - can sell their products to a global network of online and offline travel buyers through robust solutions that provide greater inventory control to simplify distribution and leverage WebBeds enhanced analytics to inform inventory optimisation choices saving costs and increasing revenue.

Travel buyers - online travel agencies retail travel agents corporate travel managers tour operators wholesalers tourism boards super apps DMCs group providers airlines and more - can integrate the hundreds of thousands of hotels and ground services in the WebBeds marketplace through simple and seamless API connectivity or they can search shop and book online through one of WebBeds trade only booking sites.

How will you make an impact

As a Solutions Architect at WebBeds you will be a key influencer in shaping the technical direction of our self-managed delivery team. This role demands a strategic mindset deep technical expertise and the ability to translate business requirements into innovative software solutions. Key elements of the role include:

• Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders including product owners business analysts and developers to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable robust architectural designs.
• Empower and lead architectural discussions within the self-managed delivery team providing guidance during user story definition planning and stakeholder engagements embracing a continuous development mindset.
• Design and document end-to-end solutions including system architecture data flow integration points security considerations and performance optimizations taking accountability for solution outcomes embracing challenges
• Develop proof of concepts and prototypes to validate architectural decisions ensuring they meet technical and business requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team promoting best practices design patterns and architecture principles in line of leading by example.
• Review code and technical implementations ensuring alignment with architectural designs and maintaining a high level of code quality while embracing mistakes learning and problem solving.
• Embrace anatomy collaborating closely with other teams such as platform engineering to ensure the seamless integration of architectural solutions and adherence to company-wide standards.
• Stay informed about industry trends emerging technologies and advancements to recommend innovative solutions and improve WebBeds technical landscape.
• Participate in discussions with senior management to provide insights on technical strategies potential risks and opportunities for improvement.

The skills we would love to see in your suitcase!

• A minimum of 10 years of software development experience coupled with proven leadership in guiding technical teams.
• A strong understanding and proficiency in multiple programming languages relevant to the teams projects. This allows the team lead to provide guidance and support in various technical areas.
• The ability to design and architect software systems that leverage the strengths of different programming languages. This includes understanding how to choose the right language for specific components of a project.
• Extensive experience with system architecture design patterns and software development best practices.
• Proven experience with designing and implementing scalable high-performance solutions.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative team player adept at working in cross-functional teams and driving consensus on architectural decisions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide developers fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Involved in long-term technical and strategic planning. Often works closely with higher-level stakeholders like technical directors CTOs and sometimes business leaders to shape the companys technical vision.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms microservices architecture and modern development methodologies.
• A strategic mindset capable of aligning technical solutions with business goals and contributing to overall company strategy.
