Were looking for aDrill & Blast Engineer to join our Technical team. Youll be personable curious and excited by the opportunity to contribute to both our on-site operations and support office. Its an ideal move for you if you:
- Have completed a graduate program and built a solid technical foundation

- Want hands-on involvement in drill & blast design QA stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement

What Youll Do
Youll support drill & blast delivery across design QA stakeholder liaison and operational improvement. Your work will include:
- Supporting drill & blast design QA and performance reviews
- Working closely with site engineers production teams and clients
- Mentoring vacation students and junior team members
- Assisting with troubleshooting data analysis and continuous improvement
- Being based on site providing technical in time support to our crew on the ground
What Youll Need
Must-haves:
- Right to work in Australia and living in Brisbane
- Completion of a recognised graduate program or equivalent experience
- Exposure to or interest in Drill & Blast
- Able to obtain a Queensland Explosives Security Clearance or hold one
- Ability to translate complex technical information into simple actionable insights
- High level of interpersonal skill with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Resilience agility versatility and willingness to work in a dynamic operational environment
- Able to travel to site and work on an 8:6 roster
Nice to have:
- Degree in Mining Engineering (not essential)
- Mining operational experience on the bench (e.g. Blast Crew Shotfirer)
- Experience using mine planning or blasting software
- Previous exposure to drill & blast design QA or analysis
