Responsibilities:
In this role you are accountable for the strategic oversight and management of Advanced Therapy Supply Chain brands from raw materials to patient delivery from the beginning to end of the product life cycle. Our core focus is to lead the Value Chain Team to design implement and maintain an End to End product supply chain that meets the business needs for customer centricity reliability cost efficiency and performance. You will partner across Advanced Therapies functions to create and maintain the JSC product strategy including updating the Product Strategic Roadmap. You will lead all JSC activities and resources that are needed for your brands including sourcing strategy cost-efficient tech transfer to commercial sites and supply sustainability. You will partner closely with various Advanced Therapy Teams including the CARVYKTI and Prizlo-cel teams.
You will lead global cross-functional multidisciplinary Value Chain Teams (VCTs) with full accountability for value optimization and supply reliability for your products by:
Mapping the Value Chain
Defining the supply chain strategic direction
Creating & Maintaining the Product Strategy Roadmap
Preparing business cases for prioritization and securing funding for investments
Delivering approved plans using strong project management skills and collaborating both within and outside of JSC meeting project goals without comprising quality scope budget or schedule
Identifying mitigating and communicating supply chain risks to JSC management and Compound Development Teams (CDT) then ensure that Value Chain Risk Management recommendations are implemented.
Integrating the commercial strategy and customer needs into the product supply chain strategy Product Strategy Roadmap and product life cycle management plans
Leading Issue Management Teams to mitigate risks and communicate updates to JSC leaders Commercial partners and senior management.
Building strong interdependent partnerships and managing the communication effectively with key stakeholders in JRD JSC and our partners in the Commercial and GCSO organizations in strong alliance with the JSC Planning and Customer Management organization.
Lead strategic integration of critical supply chain programs balancing the need to supply to launch in new markets expand capacity and reduce COGs.
Representing JSC in the CDT CMC Global Commercial Teams IBVTs and Disease Area Strongholds.
Mentoring and providing feedback to VCT members and their functional management on performance within the VCT helping members in the resolution of conflicts both of technical and business nature.
Drive innovative ways & concepts to drive sustainable and customer centric solutions
Qualifications:
A minimum of bachelors degree required. A masters degree preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.
Experience in several of the following functional areas: Manufacturing Global Planning Quality/Regulatory Commercial and other cross-functional business processes common to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.
Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
Experience leading a complex portfolio of products/projects with a confirmed ability to multi-task lead and deliver results is preferred.
Insight in End-to-End supply chain characteristics and understanding of financial processes such as business case development P&L calculation and COGS is required.
Understanding of business requirements and supply chain product metrics ability to improve supply chain metrics is required.
Experience in leading multifunctional virtual and global teams to success is required.
Up to 30% domestic and international travel may be required as business demands.
