Position Overview:

Our Electrical Engineer - Battery is responsible for the design development testing and optimization (sustaining) of (Lithium) batteries and systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and developnew battery technologies systems and components.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in battery design validation and testing to ensure performance safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Optimize and introduce processes to enhance efficiency quality and scalability in battery development and maintenance.
  • Conduct performance and safety testingof battery cells and packs.
  • Analyse datato evaluate battery efficiency lifespan and reliability.
  • Collaboratewith cross-functional teams (R&D manufacturing quality assurance).
  • Troubleshoot and resolvetechnical issues (during development and testing).
  • Ensure compliancewith industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Prepare technical documentation reports and specifications.
  • Stay updatedon advancements in battery materials and technologies.
  • Be the main contact for product management for all battery related questions

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however others can be developed along the way.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in battery development or a related domain.
  • Bachelors degree inElectrical EngineeringChemical EngineeringMaterials Science or a related field.
  • Familiarity withbattery management systems (BMS)andmanufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge ofelectrochemistrymaterial science andphysics.
  • Experience withbattery testing equipmentand characterization techniques.
  • Excellentproblem-solvinganalytical andcommunicationskills.
  • Ability to work inmultidisciplinary teamsand manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Bachelors degree in an Electrical/Electronic field of study.

Working Conditions:

  • While this role includes typical office work - such as documentation design reviews and development on your laptop - it also requires hands-on work in our electronics labs.

  • Flexible work schedule is required with 3 days onsite.

  • Occasional travel to customers suppliers and discipline related conferences and seminars.
