  • This position provides services for All Saints Private SchoolK-6 is a grant-funded position and the position is contingent upon the availability of grant funds.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university
    2. Appropriate teaching certificate as issued by the State of Arizona.
    3. Reading or math endorsement preferred but not required
    4. Possess qualities of high work ethic dedication and accountability and have demonstrated the ability to organize and manage
    5. Maintains regular attendance


    POSITION SUMMARY
    The Title I After School Tutor is responsible for providing ELA and Math tutoring to K-6 students identified to receive Title I tutoring.

    FUNCTIONS

    1. Provides on-site after school tutoring for identified Title I students.
    2. Communicates with site teachers regarding specific needs of the identified students.
    3. Communicates with parents regarding progress of Title I students.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Implement a variety of assessment instruments to determine eligibility and instructional needs of students in reading and/or math. Collect and monitor student data and provide pre-and post-assessment data to site and SVUSD admin.
    2. Provide a variety of situational appropriate instructional techniques and methods. Use techniques and methodologies appropriate to students abilities.
    3. Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective student learning.
    4. Develop communicate and enforce expectations for student behavior and participation.
    5. Communicate goals and academic expectations to students.
    6. Provide students with feedback on their performance so they can take an active role in their own success.
    7. Provide for the health and safety of students in all instructional settings.
    8. Prepare effectively for instruction and employ effective instructional strategies.
    9. Prepare daily lesson plans that address student skill deficits and that actively engage all students.
    10. Communicate learning targets.
    11. Use a balance of direct instruction guided practice and individual practice.
    12. Use effective engagement strategies to include effective questioning strategies to engage students cognitively.
    13. Assess progress regularly and communicate to students staff and families.
    14. Develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
    15. Maintain a cooperative relationship with all members of the school community.
    16. Communicate effectively with administration parents staff and students.
    17. Instruct and direct assigned instructional assistants to maximize delivery of instructional services.
    18. Provide timely and accurate feedback/documentation to students and parents and program supervisor.
    19. Maintain appropriate records of student performance.


    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
    The Title I Tutor reports to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
    SALARY:

    • Tutor Instruction $35.00 an hour hours to be determined for a total of 64.5 hours from start date to May 21 2026
    • Tutor Planning $35.00 an hour hours to be determined for a total of 27 hours from start date to May 21 2026

    WORK YEAR:

    • Immediate Start through May 21 2026
