As a School Based Clinician you would work independently but still have the support and guidance of our clinical team working with you as neededwhile being able totravel between offices for a change of scenery. Four days a week this position serves middle and high school aged studentsand one daya weekyou work at the elementary level with childrenin need of mental health support. Mileage reimbursement is offered for travel.
As a Clinician you will work collaboratively with the school districtsand as part of an interdisciplinary team with identified students providing clinical counseling to the youth and their family in an outpatient mental health clinicwithin the school building licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH). You will report to the Director of the Behavioral HealthCenterand you will work onsite.
There is also a$2500 Retention bonusforlimited permitor$7500 retention bonus for licensed candidates
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the school district toidentifyand treat a caseload of students with mental healthneedsproviding a comprehensive assessmentdiagnosisand individual and family therapy services to those assigned to caseload.
Create initial treatment planssubsequenttreatment plan reviews progress notes for each scheduled appointment and other documentation and assessments asindicated.
Collaborate with the associated clinic prescriber other medical and mental health providers schoolstaffand any other communitysupportsfor client care.
Attend school-based Behavioral Health Center staff meeting once a month.
Attend andparticipatein supervision; weekly bi-weeklyor monthly based on licensure level or individual needs.
Provide referrals and linkages to communitysupportsresourcesand services.
Requirements and Education:
Masters degree in Social Workor Mental Health Counselor.
Experience in human services case management line staff at a residential program or any other related direct care within human services both pre andpostMastersdegree will be considered.
License and/or Limited Permit eligible have a limited permit in discipline or Fully Licensed (LMHC/LCSW/LCSW-R) preferred.
Good standing with the NYS Office of the Professions.
