DescriptionWe are seeking aTechnical Engineer (IC-2) to join the Oracle LiveLabs team. This role focuses on helping workshop authors prepare content ensuring environments are ready for delivery and supporting the LiveLabs platform during both day-to-day operations and live events.
In this role you will assist with workshop creation and validation support platform operations and provide technical assistance during hands-on sessions. You will also contribute to platform improvements and automation work as part of the broader team particularly during non-event periods.
Required Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 24 years of experience in a technical support systems engineering or software-related role.
- Comfortable working inLinux or Unix environments.
- Familiarity with cloud concepts such as compute networking storage and managed services.
- Basic scripting or programming experience (for example Bash Python or similar).
- Experience supporting or troubleshooting technical systems or environments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities especially during live events.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting or delivering technical workshops labs or training environments.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Familiarity with relational databases or SQL.
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Exposure to web applications or low-code platforms.
- Interest in growing into deeper platform engineering automation or workshop development responsibilities over time.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities- Assist workshop authors in preparing validating and maintaining LiveLabs workshops including testing instructions and environments prior to delivery.
- Support the LiveLabs platform during normal operations by validating workshop readiness and responding to issues.
- Help provision verify and clean up workshop environments using established tools and processes.
- Provide technical support for live events roadshows and virtual workshops including pre-event setup real-time troubleshooting and post-event follow-up.
- Perform routine checks to ensure workshops and environments are functioning as expected.
- Assist with infrastructure and automation tasks under guidance including environment provisioning and teardown.
- Contribute to documentation runbooks and internal guides that support workshop delivery and platform operations.
- Work with engineers authors and enablement teams to improve workflows and workshop quality.
- During non-event periods assist with workshop updates platform support tasks and technical projects based on team priorities.
