The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities employs over 1900 staff and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications including power generation transmission and distribution oil chemical and gas industrial manufacturing semiconductor and data centers as well as building and transportation sectors.

Work with us to deliver R&D projects within DTR Liquid-filled transformers by preparation of designs models and drawings as well as coordination of prototypes manufacturing and execution of testing. You will be a key contributor to developing cutting-edge energy technologies. You will address complex technical challenges implement innovative ideas and help bring new products to market. You will collaborate closely with a team of talented engineers expanding your skills and making a meaningful impact on our organizations success.

How youll make an impact

will infuse creativity into R&D projects with your innovative ideas from Electrical design and propose follow-up initiatives within your technical domain serve as a valuable R&D project member and as a potential project or sub-project leader ensure alignment with goals in time cost and quality. Coordinate activities with a strong grasp of R&D processes and tools.

2. You will contribute to product cost out improvements foreseen under R&D projects and dedicated to Hefei location; support development of design portfolio manufactured in Hefei and define Design of Experiments for validating the proposed solutions.

3. You will design and supervision of the manufacturing and testing of the prototypes document project progress obtain conclusions and derive the design rules of the validated solutions.

4. You will recognize the importance of intellectual property to our business engage in IP discussions prepare project clearance reports and identify risks in R&D projects and support other R&D colleagues from all Hitachi Energy R&D community by analyzing and optimizing the electrical design of other R&D projects.

5. You will provide punctual technical support to factories marketing team and customers.

6. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background

1. Degree in Engineering or related field.

2. Minimum 5 to 8 Years of experience in Electrical design preferably in Transformers. Experience in Research & Development in a Business environment will be an advantage.

3. Preferably knowledge of magnetic dielectric and/or thermal design.

4. Background in use of electrical FEM simulation or 2D circuit simulation will be a benefit.

5. Initiative creativity out of the box thinking and great attention to detail and collaborative solution-oriented approach and strong communication skills.

6. Proficiency in English communication.
