General Summary:
- Working under general direction prepares a variety of financial reports journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Monitors and reconciles a variety of balance sheet accounts. Assists in pulling and providing support for audits and grants.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Month End Close
- Prepares a variety of standard journal entries monthly.
- Ensures journal entries are submitted accurately and by the deadline listed on the monthly close calendar.
- Balancing and Reconciliation
- Compiles various data updates and maintains records.
- Performs reconciliations of various general ledger accounts relevant to job responsibilities.
- Monitors analyzes and makes appropriate journal entry adjustments to the general ledger as necessary.
- Research and resolve account balance discrepancies and posts to appropriate accounts.
- Other Duties
- Assists with year-end audit and pulling support for grant audits as needed.
- Prepares reports and schedules to be used by internal and external parties as needed.
- Assigned special projects as needed by the Accounting Manager or Controller.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- Work requires professional level of knowledge of accounting principles and theory and effective verbal and written communication skills - acquired through a bachelors degree in accounting.
- Work requires level of knowledge of financial analysis and reporting and computerized accounting systems and at a minimum intermediate excel skills acquired through 1 to 2 years progressively more responsible experience in accounting preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Work requires a high level of problem-solving skills sufficient to analyze processes and results implement changes in processes and procedures and effectively identify and resolve problems.

The pay range for this position is $56700.80 minimum to $87568.00 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to years and level of related experience.
