We areseekinga detail-oriented and experienced Prevailing Wage / Payroll Associate to manage and process payroll for our organization with a primary focus on prevailing wage compliance advanced data analysis and certified reporting. The ideal candidate willpossessa high levelofproficiencyin Excel and a deep understanding of payroll systems labor laws and prevailing wage requirements for both state and federal programs (including the IRA). You will ensureaccurateandtimelypayroll processing whilemaintainingstrict compliance with federal state and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration: Process bi-weekly payroll for ESS employees ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
- Prevailing Wage Oversight: Research calculate and process prevailing wage rates for applicable employees including complex calculations for fringe benefits overtime and apprentice scales.
- Certified Reporting: Prepare andsubmitcertified payroll reports in compliance with federal state and local regulations (e.g. Davis-Bacon IRA and state-specific prevailing wage laws).
- Data Analysis & Excel Management:Utilizeadvanced Excel functions to manage payroll records wage adjustments and labor cost analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all payroll-related laws including tax withholding garnishments andbenefitscontributions.
- Financial Reconciliation:Assistwith reconciling payroll accounts and ensuring data integrity between payroll and accounting systems.
- Support & Resolution: Collaborate with HR and management to address employee payroll inquiries and resolve complex wage issues.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on changes to prevailing wage laws tax regulations and reporting requirements to ensure the companyremainsahead of compliance curves.
- Audit Management:Assistwith internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation Excel-based reports and compliance logs.
- Point of Contact: Act as the primary point-of-contact for Client Compliance team requests and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Payroll Associate or similar role with a focus on prevailing wage payroll.
- Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws including the IRA and state-specific requirements.
- Proficiencyin payroll related software and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with certified payroll reporting and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to manage time to meet tight payroll deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of federal state and local payroll tax regulations.
- Strong communicationskills to interact with employees management and external agencies.

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $65000 - $75000 encompassing base pay and potential incentive target opportunity.
