Job Summary


  • Oversee all daily operations of the fitness facility ensuring smooth execution and adherence to safety hygiene and service standards
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive membership growth retention and revenue optimization
  • Lead train and mentor a team of fitness instructors front desk staff and support personnel; conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of accountability and excellence
  • Manage budgeting financial reporting and cost control including vendor negotiations and expense monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with local health safety and regulatory requirements including licensing and insurance
  • Design and execute member engagement programs events and promotional campaigns to enhance customer satisfaction and brand loyalty
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as member acquisition churn rate class attendance and revenue per member
  • Collaborate with corporate headquarters on brand initiatives marketing strategies and operational updates
  • Act as the primary point of contact for members stakeholders and local partners ensuring exceptional customer service and relationship management


Requirements


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Sports Management Fitness Science or a related field
  • 25 years of progressive experience in fitness center or wellness facility management with proven success in operational leadership
  • Strong understanding of fitness industry trends member engagement strategies and customer service excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets analyze financial data and drive profitability
  • Experience in team leadership staff training and performance management
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and fitness management software (e.g. Mindbody Club OS or similar)
  • Valid first aid and CPR certification; additional certifications such as NASM ACE or ISSA are highly advantageous
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional regional language proficiency is a plus
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings to align with member schedules
