We are seeking an Early Childhood professional to support our clinical trial in various areas across Sydney.

The Casual opportunity with work scheduled for approximately 4-5 hours per shift at an hourly rate of $34.50-$40 per hour.

The Part-Time position is 0.4FTE which equates to 2 days per week with a pro-rata base salary ranging from $72k to $85k per annum Plus 12% Superannuation and access to Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging with a value of up to $15900. (more information provided below).

Both position ranges are dependent on experience skills and capabilities and days and times are varied and open to flexibility.

The Opportunity:

We are working with pre-school educators to deliver a 20-week program. Participants who consent to participate in the research will participate in the program for 20-weeks at their nearest participating on our Intergenerational practice which specifically is based around bringing together older adults and preschool children in early childhood education.

This is an opportunity for an Early Educator to bring change the direction of their career and make an impact on global health. Our successful candidate will be required to deliver the pre-designed schedule across a variety of early childhood centres to both pre-school aged children and members of the older generation in the community. Active participation in team meetings is expected and access to a car is essential for travel between sites.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Deliver the Integrity trial20 weekpredesigned intergenerational intervention(cognitive and physical activities)across a variety
  • of preschools asrequired.
  • Activelyparticipatein meetings and activities as requested
  • Load and unpack study materials and activity suppliers from vehicle (this role requires access to a car)

Skills Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful Candidate

Essential

  • Qualification in early childhood education
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experienced early childhood educator
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated skills in team working
  • Demonstrated use of initiative and problem solving
  • Understand the need and for and demonstrate strict adherence to confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and flexibly i.e. autonomously in small teams and with a wide range varying stakeholders
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments

Desirable

  • Significant experience of delivering intergenerational programs bringing together older adults and preschool children
  • Experience of clinical research in intergenerational practice
