Position Overview
Four Inc. is seeking an Intern to support the Human Resources team with day-to-day HR operations and administrative functions. This role provides hands-on experience across multiple areas of HR including recruiting onboarding employee engagement and HR systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented eager to learn and interested in developing a foundation in human resources within a fast-paced collaborative environment.
This is a hybrid role: three in-office days per week at Four Inc.s Herndon VA headquarters and two remote days.
Essential Functions
- Assist with recruitment activities including job postings resume screening interview scheduling and candidate communications
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes including documentation and system updates
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and internal tracking systems
- Assist with HR reporting and system and employee file audits
- Support employee engagement initiatives training coordination and internal communications
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed
- Participate in HR meetings projects and training sessions
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university (HR Business Administration Psychology or related field preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- High attention to detail strong organizational skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Interest in human resources recruiting or people operations

Physical Requirements:
The work is generally sedentary and performed in an office or remote setting; however some travel to government or partner sites may be required. The position may require:
- Visual acuity to view computer screens read documents and perform data entry
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard mouse and other office equipment
- Occasional lifting or carrying of equipment boxes or documents (typically under 40 lbs)
- Ability to hear and speak clearly in virtual and in-person meetings
