This position is a highly technical mid- to senior-level role responsible for the accuracy integrity and operational health of the Foundations alumni and donor database (Blackbaud Raisers Edge & NXT) which serves as the backbone for all fundraising stewardship financial reporting and donor engagement activity. The role operates as part of a two-person Advancement Services team and executes responsibilities with day-to-day independence while coordinating with the Director.
The Data Specialist utilizes established software systems and reporting tools. No computer programming or coding experience is required as the role does not involve software development or system customization. Position requires significant time sitting and computer use. Occasional travel for meetings or conferences.

Assisting in the design build testing and deployment of database solutions including data imports transformations and reconciliations.
Performing data profiling quality assessments and analysis of donor and alumni data to identify duplicates gaps or errors.
Developing and maintaining queries reports and dashboards to support fundraising stewardship and financial reporting.
Supporting the migration and integration of large-scale data initiatives including the Foundations scholarship software migration from Blackbaud Award Management to AwardSpring and the FundMiner fund compliance database performing data validation and assisting with conversion tasks under direction.
Documenting data processes and maintaining compliance with institutional data standards including record naming lifecycle and security requirements.
Consulting with data subject matter experts (e.g. development officers fund managers) to ensure data accuracy and adherence to defined standards.
