In this role you will provide high-quality medical care to patients in an inpatient setting collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise in internal medicine will be invaluable as you diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community we serve.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Manage patient care in an inpatient setting
- Collaborate with nurses specialists and other healthcare providers
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
- Provide patient education and counseling on health management
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed
- Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with advancements in medical practices and technologies
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Valid state medical license to practice in Williston
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
- Experience in hospitalist practice preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 7a-7p
Call Requirement: 7p-7a
Daily Census: 3-5 admissions
Duties: Admit patients from the ER and cover patients admitted to the hospitalist services
Support Staff: FNP on weekdays
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
