This on-site contract position offers a unique chance to contribute to a patient-centered medical practice while enjoying the flexibility that locum tenens work provides.

In this role you will provide high-quality medical care to patients in an inpatient setting collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise in internal medicine will be invaluable as you diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Manage patient care in an inpatient setting
  • Collaborate with nurses specialists and other healthcare providers
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health management
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed
  • Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with advancements in medical practices and technologies

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Valid state medical license to practice in Williston
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Experience in hospitalist practice preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex cases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: 7a-7p

Call Requirement: 7p-7a

Daily Census: 3-5 admissions

Duties: Admit patients from the ER and cover patients admitted to the hospitalist services

Support Staff: FNP on weekdays

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Paid travel & expenses
