We are now hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take ownership of analytics for our German business.

This role requires regular on-site presence in Germany.
Applicants must live within commutable distance of the office in Bremen or Hamburg.

Your mission at Epassi:

  • You own analytics for the German business.
  • You turn complex and sometimes incomplete data into accurate trusted insights that support business and product decisions.

Germany consists of multiple acquired companies and products.
The setup is still evolving and this role exists to bring clarity structure and analytical capability into that environment.

This is not an ad hoc reporting role.
You build sustainable analytics capabilities that others can rely on.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Act as the dedicated data analyst for the German business.
  • Translate business questions into data models analyses and dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain trusted Power BI reporting used by local leadership.
  • Support product finance and commercial teams with actionable insights.
  • Enable self-service analytics through well-designed Power BI solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers analysts and data science.
  • Continuously improve data quality reporting standards and ways of working.

You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Deliver reliable and accurate reporting for Germany.
  • Create structure in environments where processes and data are still forming.
  • Build analytics that stakeholders actively use in decision-making.
  • Operate independently while staying closely connected to the data team.
  • Balance business understanding with technical depth.
  • Maintain high data quality and consistency across reports.

What you will be doing (daily):

  • Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Building curated datasets in the gold layer of the data platform.
  • Running advanced business finance product and user behaviour analyses.
  • Supporting stakeholders with SQL queries and analytical thinking.
  • Validating data logic and numbers before publishing results.
  • Designing analytics solutions that others can maintain and extend.

What you should bring:

  • Several years of experience in senior-level data analytics roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI and SQL.
  • Advanced DAX skills and experience with self-service reporting.
  • Background in business data such as finance sales or marketing.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced evolving and partially ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with Databricks or Python is a plus.

Your language profile:

Working proficiency in English is required.
German
language skills are strongly preferred.

  • You have delivered insights that influenced real decisions.
  • You have built reporting trusted by senior stakeholders.
  • You have worked long enough in roles to develop and improve analytics not just deliver quick outputs.
