Job Summary
IIQAF Group is seeking a proactive and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our hospitality venues in Sydney. The Shift Leader ensures that service quality staff performance and guest satisfaction remain at the highest standards throughout every shift. This role is ideal for candidates with strong hospitality management team supervision and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant bar or hotel staff during shifts
- Monitor service quality guest experience and operational efficiency
- Manage staff schedules task assignments and workflow
- Handle customer inquiries complaints and special requests professionally
- Ensure compliance with health safety and food hygiene standards
- Train and mentor junior staff to maintain high service standards
- Assist in inventory control stock management and reporting
- Support management with daily operations and event coordination
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Shift Leader Floor Supervisor or Team Leader in hospitality
- Strong team management leadership and communication skills
- Background in restaurants hotels cafés or resort operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Knowledge of POS systems inventory management and service protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Flexible to work shifts weekends and public holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
- Experience with large-scale events or high-volume hospitality operations
- Multilingual skills are a plus (English required; Arabic or other languages advantageous)
