We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper and Financial Administrative Assistant to support a religious nonprofit organization and its affiliated entities. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records supporting compliance-related activities and providing reliable administrative support in collaboration with leadership and an external CPA.
The ideal candidate is highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable working in environments that require structure follow-through and independent problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and reconcile financial records using QuickBooks Online
Maintain accurate separation of financials across multiple entities
Coordinate directly with organizational leadership to clarify monthly transactions
Prepare basic internal financial reports and support external CPA requests
Organize and document financial files and back-office processes
Assist with compliance-related tasks and communication with regulatory bodies
Support budgeting grant and property-related documentation as needed
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit bookkeeping and administrative support
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Experience using Google Workspace tools
Excellent organizational communication and follow-up skills
Ability to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable working in ambiguous or evolving environments
Availability for full-time work (40 hours per week) with some U.S. time zone overlap
