Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Summary:

As a Project Manager in the cosmetics industry you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful development and launch of innovative beauty products from concept to market. This position requires a strategic detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of product lifecycle management cross-functional collaboration and regulatory compliance within the fast-paced cosmetics sector. You will lead cross-functional teamsincluding R&D marketing supply chain regulatory affairs and manufacturingto ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and aligned with brand vision and consumer needs. Your leadership will directly impact product quality time-to-market efficiency and overall business growth making this a critical role in maintaining competitive advantage in a dynamic and trend-driven market.

Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management for new product development (NPD) initiatives within the cosmetics portfolio.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans timelines milestones and resource allocations using project management tools (e.g. Asana MS Project Jira).
Coordinate and facilitate regular cross-functional meetings to align R&D marketing regulatory legal procurement and manufacturing teams.
Monitor project performance against KPIs proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
Ensure compliance with global cosmetic regulations (e.g. FDA EU Cosmetics Regulation IFRA) throughout all stages of development and launch.
Manage supplier and vendor relationships including formulation partners packaging providers and contract manufacturers.
Prepare and present project updates financial reports and executive summaries to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Conduct post-launch reviews to evaluate performance gather insights and support continuous improvement.
Stay current with industry trends emerging technologies and sustainable practices to inform innovation strategies.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Chemistry Biology Business Administration or a related field; MBA or PMP certification is a plus.
2 years of experience in project management within the cosmetics personal care or consumer goods industry.
Proven track record of successfully managing NPD projects from concept to commercialization.
Strong knowledge of cosmetic formulation packaging labeling and regulatory requirements (e.g. INCI IFRA EU Annexes).
Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile Waterfall Scrum) and tools (e.g. MS Project Smart sheet ).
Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience managing budgets up to $ and leading teams of 5 members across multiple departments.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
