Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside is seeking a Vascular Surgeon to join this highly collegial department!
Mount Sinai South Nassau (MSSN) is an award-winning acute care not-for-profit teaching hospital located in Oceanside New York. Our dedicated staff serves the entire South Shore from the Rockaways in Queens to the Massapequas and beyond. And we offer quality compassionate care on our main campus in Oceanside plus nine other satellite facilities in the region. Mount Sinai South Nassau is one of the regions largest hospitals with 455 beds more than 900 physicians and 3500 employees. The Division of vascular surgery is seeking full time vascular surgeon who is BE /BC to perform the full breadth of vascular surgical procedures and endo- vascular interventions . The individual is expected to teach residents and students. He or she should have outstanding clinical and teaching skills with a commitment to excellence and diversity. The Vascular Surgeon will join two full time MSSN has a fully accredited-vascular lab ICAVL a state of the art interventional suite and a Vascular Access program. There is great collegiality between the practitioners and support among the specialists and administration.
MSSN is a level II verified trauma center with approximately 65000 ED visits annually. Designated a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for outstanding nursing care MSSN also offers Novalis Tx and Gamma Knife radiosurgery technologies and operates the only Trauma Center on the South Shore of Nassau County verified by the American College of Surgeons.
MSSN is the only hospital on Long Island in 2018 to achieve Healthgrades Americas 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery Orthopedic Surgery Excellence Award and 5-star rating for Total Hip Replacement and it was one of just two hospitals on Long Island to achieve Healthgrades 5-stars in Hip Fracture Treatment. Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- New York Medical License
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Vascular Surgery
- Committed to South Nassau Communities Hospital and the communities we serve
- Excellent communication bedside manner and organizational skills
- A system work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented performance driven health system
Compensation range from 350K to 375K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
