Role Summary
MetaPhaseConsulting isseekinga highly experienced Enterprise Monitoring Lead- IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide strategic technical leadership and hands-on engineering support for the implementation and optimization of the Clients enterprise network monitoring platform. This role will be central to enhancing visibility performance and operational responsiveness across a complex multi-site WAN environment. The SME will engage cross-functional stakeholders lead monitoring integrations and drive innovation in proactive network operations.
What You Will Be Doing
- Contribute to the architecture design and implementation of solutions to improve the Clients enterprise network monitoring capabilities.
- Integrate and optimize WAN monitoring tools to deliver actionable insights and enable proactive detection of network performance issues.
- Design andmaintainadvanced dashboards alerting configurations and analytical views based on stakeholder requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business units toidentifynetwork monitoring needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between operations teams leadership and platform vendors to support monitoring configuration testing and rollout.
- Develop andmaintaincomprehensive documentation including technical configurations diagrams and operational status reports.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions briefings and training to ensure platform adoption and effective usage across Client teams.
- Provide subject matterexpertisein network diagnostics platform tuning and performance enhancement efforts.
- Support transition planning and documentation handoffs between contract teams to ensure continuity andknowledgeretention.
What We NeedFromYou (Required)
- U.S. Citizenship (NO EXCEPTIONS) and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- 10 years of progressive IT experience in network engineering infrastructure or systems integration roles.
- Expertisein WAN architectures network performance analysis diagnostics and operational monitoring strategies.
- Proven experience deploying and managing enterprise-scale monitoring solutions across distributed environments.
- Strong understanding of routing path analysis host monitoring and alert configuration.
- Experience preparing technical documentation in support of governance ATOs or compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering ora relatedtechnical field.
Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with commercial network observability tools such asThousandEyes SolarWinds PRTG or similar.
- Masters degree in computer science IT or related discipline (may beconsidered in lieu ofexperience).
- Relevant certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) CISSPThousandEyesCertified Professional.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools (e.g. Ansible Terraform).
- Experience supporting federal or enterprise IT transformation initiatives.
Work Setup & Travel
Hybrid work environment.
23 days per week onsite in Washington DC; remotework subject to Client approval.

Education & Clearance Requirements
Bachelorsdegree.Mastersdegree may substitute for 23 years of experience.
