Job Summary

This role provides support and oversight of site Emergency Preparedness (EP) functions programs and processes to ensure programmatic standardization and excellence.

The incumbent may be assigned an EP function in support of all site EP programs. and the qualified candidate develops or possesses detailed knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulations and partners with site leaders and staff to continuously improve the EP Program and maintain regulatory margin. This role interfaces with external stakeholders and regulatory entities to support capabilities and relationships that support the EP Program.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides Emergency Preparedness expertise and knowledge in support of the EP Program.
  • Supports the drill and exercise program by performing or supporting scenario development evaluation reporting and performance improvement.
  • Generally assigned an EP function(s) such as Offsite Planning Scenario Development etc. to ensure standardization across all sites.
  • Keeps EP Leadership apprised of issues pertaining to compliance continuous improvement or relationships.
  • Develops a network of industry peers through professional development such as industry working groups conferences or trainings.
  • Supports site EP functions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by EP Leadership.

Education Experience & Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in technical area emergency management or closely related field and 5 years industry experience ORApplicable Professional certs/quals (e.g. Licensed Operator CHP CEM PMP PE SRO CERT) within 1 year of hiring and 5 years combined of EP and Plant work experience.
  • Strong quantitative skills and business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
