Systems Analyst

PURPOSE

As a Systems Analyst the individual is expected to deliver business solutions from conceptualisation to implementation where the scope is limited by the scope of the project or the change. The Systems Analyst must understand and define business and technical solutions in order to fulfil the business order to do this the Systems Analyst is expected to elicit requirements analyse the requirements facilitate discussion between stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectations. The role requires the documentation of process functional technical and data requirements.

You will engage with the following stakeholders:

Internal

• Development teams
• Testing
• Product Management
• Service Desk
• Project office

External

• PayInc clients
• External software suppliers
• Payments Association of South Africa

Your key responsibilities include:

• Facilitate requirements elicitation discussions with the relevant stakeholders
• Validate and manage the requirements from the stakeholders and ensure that the proposed solution meets the business need.
• Define and document the requirements
• Ensures appropriate stakeholders are involved in the elicitation of requirements
• Prioritise requirements effectively based on factors including business system and time constraints
• Create and design system screens and wireframes
• Manage deliverables in line with internal project management timelines and external project timelines for industry related projects
• Proactively raise risks and issues pertaining to deliverables
• Ensure that the systems development lifecycle is adhered to
• Manage queries received from business development and testing stakeholders.
• Ensure that documentation produced is clear concise and meets quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

• Business/ Systems Analyst certification/ qualification
• Knowledge of Software development lifecycle
• An IIBA certification would be beneficial
• Knowledge of Visio for the creation and management of processes diagrams screen design and EDMs.

EXPERIENCE

• 8 years related experience
• Experience in the systems development lifecycle
• Experience in a Financial Services or Payments environment.
