Job Description:RSi is looking to fill a Water Treatment Technician position to support our NASA customer.The Water Treatment Technician operates and maintains wastewater treatment systems to ensure regulatory compliance and proper facility operations.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Managingindustrial wastewatertreatmentsystems & processes (monitoring operation and maintaining)
• Performingmaintenanceandrepairsonindustrial wastewatertreatmentequipment
• Conductingroutineinspectionsandassessmentsofindustrial wastewatertreatmentfacilities
• Deionized Water Operations
• Water Treatment
• Maintain records logs and reports to meet environmental regulations and safety/operational requirements
• Respond to alarms spills and system malfunctions; initiate corrective actions
• Ensure work complies with environmental safety and hazardous materials handling standards

Qualifications and Experience:In general the work of the Water Treatment Technician requires rounded training and experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial water and wastewater treatment systems usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Work Environment: Indoor and outdoor working environments. May include test areas test stands laboratories chambers machine shops cold and hot weather environments heights and confined spaces.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Standing walking bending kneeling crouching reaching and working in awkward positions to access work areas
• The use of hand and power tools and equipment associated with the position.
• Ability to lift carry push or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Wear and properly use required PPE for all assigned tasks.

Other Essential Functions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes
• Ability to operate lab equipment and interpret test results
• Familiarity with EPA/NPDES permit standards and reporting requirements

Clearance: Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issues credentials and IT access/applicants must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements.
