Job Summary:
As Senior Developer on the eCommerce team youll be responsible for maintaining improving and expanding . Youll be responsible for delivering high-quality reliable code that ensures our website is fast stable and ready to scale.
Together with the Product Owner youll set technical direction.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain and evolve our existing site and features ensuring high performance reliability and stability.
Design develop test deploy and monitor new features APIs and integrations across our headless commerce stack.
Work with and extend our headless commerce architecture taking ownership of front end serverless functions system integrations and content pipelines.
Provide sizing and complexity assessments for new User Stories using the ICE method contributing to realistic planning and delivery.
Review code mentor and guide less senior developer(s) and uphold coding standards and engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs performance issues scaling challenges and production incidents with a strong sense of ownership.
Own and drive architectural decisions ensuring the long term scalability resilience and maintainability of our technology stack.
Evaluate select and implement new tools frameworks and architectural patterns that improve developer productivity performance and future readiness of the platform.
Take responsibility for stack efficiency performance and cost optimization continuously improving infrastructure and operational efficiency to reduce P&L impact and support margin improvement.
Lead stack optimization initiatives and automation efforts that increase efficiency across the broader organization including future B2B initiatives and cross functional digital projects.
Identify and recommend best in class next generation technologies including AI driven solutions where relevant and translate them into practical implementations that create measurable business value.
Our stack:
JavaScript / TypeScript (full stack).
Sanity CMS (content platform).
Vercel (hosting and deployments).
Headless Shopify (commerce backend via APIs).
REST / GraphQL APIs.
Modern frontend frameworks (React or similar).
CI/CD pipelines performance tooling monitoring.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience building web applications.
Fluency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React / preferred).
Familiarity with headless CMS and API-driven commerce (Shopify or similar).
Understands best practices in performance testing and maintainable code.
Can work independently on assigned tickets and deliver high-quality solutions.
Enjoys collaborating with a small focused team.
Nice-to-have:
Sanity CMS experience.
Prior work on high-traffic eCommerce platforms.
Knowledge of serverless functions caching strategies and observability tools.
