We are recruiting to the Quality Matron post within the Corporate Nursing Team!
The Quality Matron will lead on the delivery of the Accredited Clinical Environment (ACE) scheme at PHU. Working closely with Quality Matron at IWT who provides leadership to QAAS (Quality Assurance and Accreditation Scheme) there will be opportunities for peer support and joint working to ensure consistent standards across both organisations.
QAAS and ACE are core components of the Trusts quality assurance programme providing multi-disciplinary visits to a range of services across the organisations. The Matron will work closely with the Senior Nursing Leadership teams including DNDs Heads of Nursing Senior Matrons Matrons and Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses/Ward Leaders on quality and service improvement work.
This role will establish and foster effective working relationships with colleagues from the
multi-disciplinary teams across both organisations utilising skills in negotiating and influencing
to secure and support change and improvement in care and service delivery.
The role of Quality Matron is pivotal in driving quality and safety providing active and visible clinical leadership and assurance for service users and staff.

Qualifications :
Essential
- Registered Nurse on the NMC register
- Educated to degree level in nursing midwifery or leadership and management and / or Registered Allied Health Professional or Pharmacist with live registration with the Registering Authority
- Management qualification or relevant experience
Desirable
- Recognised teaching and assessing qualification
- Educated to Masters Level
- Evidence of development of Evidence Based care.
Experience
Essential
- Specialist knowledge of the professional leadership and management of nursing midwifery or Allied Health Professional services has been developed.
- Evidence of ongoing and relevant personal and professional development in the last 2 years.
- Expert knowledge of nursing and Allied Health Professional practice and understanding of related clinical services providing clinical advice to annual planning and service developments
- In depth knowledge of the quality governance agenda including health and safety clinical risk issues and quality initiatives.
Desirable
- Knowledge and experience of human resource management Project management experience
