Your Mission

The Activision Infrastructure team is looking for a Research Associate Cloud

to join the team. This team supports a variety of cloud workloads and you will help build and maintain them. You will help drive efficiencies for both visibility and performance within the Azure Cloud Platform. You will be working closely with our team of engineers to learn about and work on new and existing technologies that we use on our platform.

This position is onsite in our office in Vancouver BC.

However the duties and responsibilities of this role may be changed as directed by the Company at any time to promote and support our business and relationships with industry partners. Therefore this role includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

• Enhance platform and application visibility by employing Observability tools such as Grafana and Azure Monitor
• Strengthen secrets-management by working on the implementation and maintenance of Hashicorp Vault
• Help to resolve technical issues efficiently in multiple environments and help with root cause diagnosis and suggest improvements to prevent similar issues
• Consider security sustainability and supportability concerns with all work

Minimum Requirements:

Experience

• 1 year of relevant work experience on cloud platforms preferably Microsoft Azure
• Experience using Observability tools such as Grafana Prometheus and Azure Monitor
• Experience with deploying and/or maintaining Hashicorp Vault

Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science a related field or equivalent experience
• Understanding of Kubernetes Helm containerization and distributed applications
• Good understanding of cloud computing and networks
• Good understanding of data presentation and dashboards creation
